Not trolling. This would be a sick team. And it makes sense for them to make a trade with Detroit like this. Wings are rebuilding and Dallas needs to win now. Spezza and Methot are older and haven't played great because of injuries and each have one year left on there deal. Also Spezza played for the Spitfires right across the river. So it would be cool to see him play for Detroit for a year. The draft picks help the Wings rebuild. And Zetterberg can go play for a contender to try to win another Cup before he retires. He is being wasted in Detroit right now. Only Wings fans that are delusional say he shouldn't be traded because he is the captain. And the Hörnqvist trade is a move that will help them in the playoffs. That's another win now move.

C’mon now...You are mortgaging our future for some aging vets who’s contracts are going to be massive liabilities very soon. Assuming these UFA signings would happen (which I pray they don’t), the Stars could easily sign those guys with the contracts of both Spezza and Methot. Why trade 1 more year of 2 bad contracts for an aging Zetterberg, an older Radek Faksa (Nielsen), and a 4th line (at best) forward? And in addition to that, you want to trade our first 3 rounds of draft picks for the next two years? These moves don’t help Dallas at all right now, and really dismantle their chances to build on the team they have now.

And you’re seriously going to trade away Janmark for a 31-year old who is owed $5.3M until he’s 37 years old AND is already showing signs of slowing down? Ummmm, no thank you.

Overall the trades are just bad, and the signings make no sense given our current team and the better choices available via free agency.
