Obviously the Lightning are going to go after Tavares. So they need to get his exclusive rights now! The other trade clears up the cap space needed to sign him. Everyone knows Tavares is going to sign with the Hurricanes though because a hurricane can do way more damage than a simple lightning bolt. I mean does anyone even remember Hurricane Andrew in 1992? They don't even name lightning storms because they are so weak.
