Description
Of all the options I hear thrown around with the flames, I keep coming back to OReilly being the best realistic option. Buf doesn't want his salary and OReilly doesn't want to be there. A big part of this trade for Buf is that cost savings of unloading Scandella.

Curious what others think of the Value here. Open to feedback, but I am going on the belief that Value goes: Hamilton > O'Reilly > Ferland > Nylander > Scandella

Buffalo is good. Rather keep O'Reilly than give up all that for Hamilton.

I feel like the Flames need a RW to play on that top unit.
Backlund is really good so I don't really see a need to have 3 centres making 5+ million (if you get ROR). I know ROR can play wing, but its a waste as he's really good in the faceoff circle.

I know the Flames have a ton of good D prospects so trading maybe Brodie or Hamilton for help on the wing might be ideal. (Kessel would have been insane on that line)

Tkachuk is also a great player. He's a pest but very skilled and will no doubt hit the 50+ pt mark anytime soon. Hopefully Sam Bennett gets better as well.

Yeah I’ll pass on that offer from a BUF perspective.

ROR for Hamilton or bust.

But Buffalo already has a top 2 RHD in Risto, and with Dahlin coming as well, why not trade ROR for a top goalie or a top RW/LW
