Description

Well, this is probably incredibly farfetched, but the money fits under the cap, and the trades a relatively fair.

Perry: Provided he waives his NMC, the Ducks get back a younger and versatile player in Bailey and what could still be a good prospect in MDC. Also a bit of cap relief there.

Karlsson - It's not a secret he wants out of Ottawa. He can test out playing in NY for his last year and then bail out if he chose. The 1st rd pick is an automatic, Pelech is decently skilled with a friendly cap number and term, Griess helps even out the cap situation while improving the Sens' goaltending issue (likely moving on from Anderson) and Wotherspoon is a prospect throw in. I realize it's a strange package but there are many factors that tinker with the value here.

John Carlson is a pipedream, but that's what this is all about. Obviously all of this relies on actually buying out Johnny Boychuk.
