Circle back to Paccioretty option with a new agent, and get an extension done. Juulsen helps them with a young right shot D-man. Toffoli is a RW. He's never played LW in his career at any level. He has played some center before in juniors, but he has never played anywhere but RW with the Kings. You might be better off taking Pearson instead of Toffoli. Similarly skilled, but a natural left winger and a much better skater. As a Kings fan, I'd do the proposed trade with either Toffoli or Pearson included.

However, I wouldn't go any higher than $6.5M on Pacioretty. The $8M he was asking for is insane. If he wants more than that, he can play somewhere else.

Thanks for the feedback. I was looking at both Pearson and Toffoli while figuring out the deal, that's probably where I mixed up LW/RW. I agree with you that Patch is not worth $8.0M, that's not going to happen for a 30-year old winger. He's probably looking at the deal Kane got from San Jose with much less impressive career stats. But Kane's younger, simple as that. We'll see what other teams are offering.
