why does every one want dumbass duclair he is a locker room mess and by all reports lazy and full of him self. why take ice time from sprong, ZAR, and Simon and kill there development when they are cheaper money wise

it wouldn't take time from sprong, it might cut into ZAR play time in this example, and it wouldn't change the playing time for simon(when everyone is healthy even without Duclair I have him as the 13th forward). those three are cheaper money wise but also even less NHL experience to know if you can rely on them or not. Personally I liked what I saw from ZAR last year but I am not certain he will work out great as the 3rd line LW or not, Duclair is an insurance policy who should not be expensive(if he wants any more than I projected here I would not want the pens to sign him)

so take time from are signed guys waste most of are cap space left on a player that is a proven lazy head case that makes no sense at all

if you disagree with the move simply because of Duclair its understandable but every team has extra players, no matter what you are gonna have "signed guys" not playing or taking time from each other. Somebody will be the 13 forward, and have to step in at some point.

did you see what he signed for 650000. you way over paid him. yes every team has extra forwards, why sign one that is not as good s ones we have, take a roster spot and use cap the pens dont have on a waste of space player.
