Description
Three way trade with Toronto, Vegas and Pittsburgh.

It is basically Ron Hainsey going back to Pittsburgh in exchange for a 4th round pick of next years draft (2019) and a 5th round pick of 2020 (that might change in to a 4th round pick IF Pittsburgh decides to re-sign Ron). Vegas is there to retain cap so that Toronto will have 3m to play with for the next trade, and Pittsburgh will only have to pay 1.5m for a solid, veteran defensemen.

Trade Details #1

Toronto – Ron Hainsey, 4th 2019 -> Vegas
In return – nothing

Pittsburgh – Pitts 4th 2019 and a 5th 2020 (pick turns into a 4th if Ron re-signs) -> Toronto
In return – nothing

Vegas – Ron Hainsey plus 50% retained salary -> Pittsburgh
In return - Conditional draft pick (2021 or later)

Trade between Toronto and New York Islanders.

Yes I know, poor Islanders. BUT, I think that receiving Bracco and a second round pick is pretty good. Jeremy is going to be a Marner type with lots of speed in the near future, someone who could play with Barzel. Ryan Pulock isn't looking like the man for the Islanders when they chose him early in the first round, and I think 2 2nd round picks (Bracco was a second round pick) makes sense especially when the market for defensemen is high. Toronto signs Ryan to a 3.7m a year for 4 years. For what he has shown in the NHL, I think 3.7m is fair and makes sense compared to some contacts in the NHL now.

Trade Details #2

New York Islanders receive Jeremy Bracco and a 2nd round pick of this years draft in exchange for the rights to Ryan Pulock.

Thanks everyone for viewing my idea. I think it would help all the teams, spesificly Toronto as they do need a solid, young, right handed defensemen. Leave comments as it would help me out a lot. GO LEAFS GO.

      I wouldn't call it spite so much as I'd call it pride, but there is no way the Islanders trade a young promising member of the defense core, especially to Toronto, unless they were to get something significant back. Even in a rebuild type situation, Pulock remains a young piece and potential core piece. Although I do not believe he is top-pairing worthy, he remains a solid top-4 option.

      He certainly isn't that young tho. Only 23 years old. Islanders could easily tank and get another young defensive prospect in the next draft to help out Noah Dobson.
