Description
Not considering the RFA/UFA deals too significantly. Stone's contract is based on a possible arbitration settlement which allows him to hit UFA following the season.

  4. 2019 1st round pick (TBL)
  5. 2020 2nd round pick (TBL)
Additional Details:
I'm likely massively off on value but just trying to see player wise how this deal can somewhat work. Foote is another option to add or replace with Dotchin.

Figure any TB-OTT deal has to have money moving back. Problem is Stevie Y has handcuffed the bolts by handing out soooo many NTC/NMCs. Miller is one of the few decent cost forwards to sip back. But in Ottawa, that contract will look terrible.

eumm yes, this is off on value

1) Batherson is like Ottawa's best prospect after Tkachuk. So no.
2) TBL doesn't have their 2019 1st.
3) Miller and Coburn don't meet the profile of what OTT is looking. Especially in a Karlsson Trade.
4) Anything Karlsson trade either starts with Sergachev or Foote with Tampa. Not Dotchin.

Thanks. Moreso going for financial aspects of the trade (with focus to TB). You're right about the 1st so make it 2020 (doesn't matter too much).

Oh, I see!

In the perfect World, Ottawa is willing to eat up Callahan's contract in the trade. And TB lets Strålman, Coburn, Girardi walk next summer to make room to resign Kuch. Might also have to eventually trade away Johnson.

Also, 2019 1st is pretty important for OTT... They don't have one and if it's a 2020, it pushes the "rebuild" by one year.

Agreed. The issue with Callahan is the NTC/NMC. Seems Stevie has thrown that to every player on TB making over 2 mill except for Miller. That's why I put him in the trade. Regardless if OTT wants him, they would need to eat something. Of course we don't have team lists for players with the clauses but I can't imagine too many players willing to waive to go to OTT right now.
