In what world do you guys live where David Backes is watching from the sidelines after he just had a season where he had part of his intestine removed and had his leg sliced open and was STILL playing at almost a 50 point rate for the season when most guys would be mailing it in. Sweeney knew he would be slowing down but wanted someone who played RW and would set a good example. Good on FO, PK and PP and will hold people accountable in the dressing room. Not sure Acciari can even hold his jock strap let alone take his place in the lineup and I like Acciari.
