Description
Winnipeg this year trades another division rival (last year STL for Stastny this year DAL for Seguin) but has to give up much more for the rental fee. DAL would only do this deal if out by the deadline and even still. They likely want to re-sign Seguin but if they can't get a deal done by the deadline they maybe shop him (if they're out of it only) and try and sign him July 1.

Those PP units are absolutely beastly and the forward group is best in the league bar none (imo). The D-Core is sound and Niku is about to have a breakthrough year. Deal with the Trouba issue in the off-season and go all in this year again for the CUP.

Trades

  1. Sparks, Garret
  2. 2019 1st round pick (TOR)
2.
WPG
  1. Seguin, Tyler
Additional Details:
DAL out of it at the deadline decides to trade Seguin for 2 additional 1sts and 2 solid prospects. Seguin likely goes back to Dallas in the off-season anyways so they look at it as a favor to the player (chance at a cup) as well as asset managment.
DAL
  1. Petan, Nicolas
  2. Stanley, Logan
  3. 2019 1st round pick (WPG)
  4. 2019 1st round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
Winnipeg can't waive Petan or he'd be scooped so instead of PB duties with the emergence of Vesalainen they use him for what they think is enough to put them into cup contention.

Take the Toronto trade out(inc the 1st to Dallas) and we are good. The TD deal, high end D prospect, good young center and a first should do it.
