Description
Doubtful. Can they right the ship in the next 5 years? Again, very doubtful. Will they win any more playoff series’s? Will they even qualify for the post season? As good as this team was for a 7 year run (3 Cups and 2 other WCF with two 1st round losses mixed in from 2009-15), time and other factors caught up dramatically since. Two more opening round defeats and last year’s utter failure. Every other team in the Central has improved. Chicago not so much. And I simply do not see this team regaining its luster any time in the next 5+ years. I suppose opposing fans could care less but I find the Chicago Blackhawks demise almost tragic. If anyone Hawks fan disagrees, please feel free to encourage me (or entertain me). Non CBh fans, you can pile on if you want. I accept this plight due to blindness from the shiny, silver trophies.

Should've never traded Panarin they probably couldve made at least one more run with him between last year and this upcoming year

His two years with the Hawks resulted in first round exits by the team so it’s hard to say if they could have improved or not. He was a massive loss for sure.

Boqvist, the second coming of Erik Karlsson who led the Senators to all that success? Two years from now Toews, Keith and Seabrook will be in their early 20’s again? In 2 years we will be okay, Seabrook and
Keith will have skin conditions, Towes will be a reliable 3rd line center and DeBrincat will have 2 40 goal seasons.
