I'm not a big Faulk fan, though it seems that any RHD being traded to Leafs seems to get Chelios like status. A backup up AHL goalie is hardly attractive in a NHL trade. From Carolina's view, I would think they would like more in a trade due to the second year of term for Faulk. But I think you're right, the Leafs are in more of a bunt position than swing for the fences.

Played the majority of last year in the A, made it to the AHL All-star team and sign a contract with the Panthers for 1,300,000$. Him and Pickard have similar underlying numbers and Pickard is two years younger. Point is calling him an AHL goalie is a bit of a stretch.

Just so everyone knows I am not agreeing with this trade.
