Description
So these are some rumours. First Arizona want Lupul for Pronger they want some more veteran leadership for Domi, Duclair. This was reported by Arizona media. Also added the more fan based rumour that Stamkos wants to come home. If this occurs Stamkos becomes captain of the leafs by season opener. But with Stamkos here what to do with Kadri. I grouped Brown and Kadri for Winnipeg 1st from Chicago Blackhawks, 4th 2017, and Brendan Lemieux. Brown is added to give them more forward depth and is probably lost in expansion. Also, been thinking that what if we grouped Bozak and Cowen for Bicknell and Shaw.

Hard to believe that the Coyotes would want Lupul for leadership but they might do for money considerations. Pronger is owed 4.9m, Lupul 5.25 a year for two years. If the Leafs paid half the salary of Lupul, the Yotes would get player for 350,00 for two years, from what they were paying in Pronger's salary. Leafs would get up to 2.62 m a year for two years in cap relief. (The Clarkson deal was similar in context).
You don't have to necessarily trade Kadri. Shaw plays a lot wing. Buyout Bickell at 1m a year for two years, and I guess Vesey isn't playing either, but maybe Leivo, Leipsic or maybe a short term UFA at wing.

Not bad....If the rumour is true about lupul I think all leaf nation celebrates. The Bozak deal could definitely work for both teams my not have to retain any money but it does sweeten the deal. The winnipeg deal might not be enough but could work I do like Lemieux he looks like a good 3/4 line winger and brown though talented is probably like you said lost next offseason to expansion.

Couldn't believe it myself but unless it was an April fools joke Arizona are at least interested. Unsure of specifics if true but I agree retaining some money might happen. Kadri I think his value is at an all time high so by trading now we can get max value. I do like Lemieux I truly think he could be a poor man's version of his father meaning a 3 line wing who grids and adjetates well but might not be as good of a clutch player as his dad.
