Schmaltz in for Bouw or Gunnarson if neither of them are healthy to start the season.

Fabbri and Maroon could be switched if Fabbri shows he is 100%. Thomas could stay in junior but I hope they keep him up and give him some minutes to get acclimated and then when someone is injured he moves up in the lineup.

I think all of us Blues fans agree, but that seems to be where he will start based on the clues from mgmt. I'm pretty confident he'll be able to move up the lineup, whether it's from injuries or performance. He won't be there for long. Plus, training camp hasn't started so all the lineup estimations are just speculation. I think @LGBstl has the roster prediction right as of now, except everything I've read shows Bouwmeester on the 3rd pair and Edmundson-Pietrangelo and Dunn-Parayko.

I think we start Bouwmeester on the 3rd pairing and he moves into the top 4 if he can find his form.

Yeah fortunately we now have the positive issue of having multiple competent centers. So Thomas does not have a spot as a center anywhere but the fourth line. Unless Schenn moves back to wing. I think the NHL is slowly getting away from grinding fourth lines and having Thomas on the 4th line allows us to have 4 lines capable of offense.

Also on the Bouwmeester front I think it is his spot to lose. If he is healthy I think he starts there until he has one bad game and then like you said he goes to third pairing.
