Sharks could choose to acquire a top 6F at the deadline. Not sure who they would target knowing that they would be very hard to resign but I figure they'd want someone younger, faster, and high skill.

Panarin is #1, but if not...

I see Merkley as high skilled, but not good enough in his own zone. He is creative but just not smart or steady enough. too many turnovers to stick in the NHL. Sell high...

Dillon+Karlsson are salary dumps, just in case eberle stays. He's 28, 25G every year and a clear top 6 forward threat from the wing, with a likely reasonable price.

Might fit nicely particularly if jumbo gets hurt again as a C or W (he is listed as a W here, but C on Hockeydb). He can also be resigned for a similar 6M per if they want him. And his +5 was 2nd best among all forwards on the Isles last year, so he isnt a defensive disaster.
