We move out Perreault and Trouba and a 2nd for Nuge with no money retained to play center, despite the fact he's not really good at center and only scores on McDavid's wing.

Not a chance I move Trouba for Nuge, let alone the other parts. Myers for Nuge. Sure. Not Trouba despite how terrible he looked last night.

Trouba is our top pair RHD. He gets all the toughest matchups. He just doesn't get PP time because of Buff. We own his rights for 2 more seasons in our cup window. I'd rather keep him for 2 years and let him walk as a UFA than trade him straight up for Nuge. Nevermind the pick and Perreault.

The issue with our 2C isn't little. It's that neither Ehlers or Laine would forecheck or cycle the puck. That didn't change with Statsney, they just managed to score a couple more goals off the rush. Statsney got all his points on the powerplay.
