Lol in the last 10 years there have been 2 Hobey baker winners that translated to top tier NHL talent: Johnny Hockey and Jack Eichel. the rest couln't even hack it in the NHL at all. the Hobey Baker award means Jack Sh it as a valuation of a prospect. puck moving defensemen cost a premium in the NHL. VAN has a need, their best LD besides Edler is MDZ who is actually trash and who's contract is up after this yr. as their forwards get younger and faster, they'll need a puck mover on the back to complement it, as well as someone to buy time for Olli Juolevi to mature.
