Description
Hopeful that a team like this would occur. If the Hurricanes were smart, they'd try to sign these guys, would be great to build up like this.

Reimer would support as a split start with Lack if he can't handle the load himself.

Legwand is mostly added as depth, but don't know how much money exactly would be paid for him. Honestly, I wouldn't always play him.

That would be insane if any team could get 3 top 6 forwards and the top goalie available in free agency in one offseason. I think one is a little bit more realistic. And do you think Reimer, being arguably the best free agent goalie, would sign to be a backup/ split duties for half the money he could get from a desperate team like Calgary?

Tricky bean you are on to something. The key to the Canes next step is not to overspend on UFAs, and really get guys who want to play in Carolina. You spend 17m on three UFA forwards. How's this
to get the juices flowing sign Stamkos at 11m. and Okposo at 6 m. That might be a better bang on the box office.

Stamkos as a Cane would be great, but I think if he leaves Tampa he's going to Toronto. I'm just tired of watching my Canes acting helpless and doing nothing. I want to see a splash where they try something big and look like they give a damn to compete.

Honestly no, I don't think Reimer would want to do that, but I don't trust Lack. Reimer could win a job in Carolina if he plays like he's been in San Jose. But you're right, he'd probably go somewhere like Calgary for more money.
