Ducks aren’t trading Kase or Manson.

Kase is roughly equal to Buarkovsky in age, best goal scoring season, and slow start this year. But Burakovsky has twice as many career points in the regular season, and eight times as many in the playoffs. So far, Anaheim is winning, big time.

Niskanen's got twice as many points as Manson right now, 10 to 5, and plays a smidge more time short handed, but you're right that you have to give something else to account for the four year age difference.

Kase has 2 points in 13 playoff games
Manson has 3 in 22.
Burakovsky has 16 in 49.
Niskanen has 38 in 118.

There's your biggest sweetener. You're offering up two guys who each get a point every third playoff game for two guys who each get a point every seven playoff games.

You shouldn't quite have to add a recent first pick and two second round picks to do that. Kempny? Okay. Worth it, if the team needs a shake up, and can do something else with the extra cap space at the deadline. Maybe Jaskin and a 2nd for Kovalchuk?

Why do you leave out half of the facts? He has twice as many points because he has TWICE as many games played. Look at points per game and it's nearly identical down to the hundredths. And Bura has clearly had the slower start with .25 PPG, whereas Kase has .50 PPG this year (yes a lot less games).

Kase has good possession numbers and seems similar to perhaps a Vrana, but I don't really get to watch Kase day in and day out, unless I want to stream Ducks games (no thanks).

Yes. Experience is valuable. Burakovsky at 23 has twice as many games played as Kase, 23. Great. Good point. That's another reason Burakovsky is more valuable. I didn't look up all of the numbers, just enough to form my own quick opinion. Message boards are great because everybody can contribute what they know, or what they can learn.

But the main reason Burakovsky is better is that he scored two goals in game seven to eliminate the Lighning, and followed up with four points in five games in the Finals to help Washington win its only Cup ever.

Vrana has insane speed and makes incredible passes nobody sees coming. Having good puck possession numbers does not make Kase into Vrana.

Didn't say it did. I don't get to watch this guy, but on paper he seems similar to Vrana (size and points). Perhaps he doesn't have the speed Vrana does.

Kase is perhaps trending upwards, Bura is not. Look at their goals per game through the years. Kase seems to have more upside here, and as I said, better possession numbers.

I think you just really love Bura, and the reasoning just isn't there.
