Description
Coyotes desperately need some proven scoring depth. Their draft record with high first rounders is not great.

Assume the AZ pick to Montreal is at #5 overall, Habs take Bowen Byram as a mobile left D of the future.

Assume the pick form Carolina is at #8 overall and the Habs select Peyton Krebs (LW). Bean is a good prospect but still unproven at NHL level, and Hurricanes have a ton of defense already. They need some scoring.

Also assume the Habs fade later in the season and finish 18th overall, picking at #14 with their own pick Alex Newhook (C/LW)

The Matheson-Petry trade may not be balanced, but status quo in Florida is not working well.

Future looking brighter a few years from now.

What do you think is at the top of Tallon's wish list? How can the Cats get back in the race this year - or is it already too late to catch up to Tampa, Toronto & Boston.

Tallon is a long term person so I’d think it would start with Suzuki and Fleury at least

you're kidding right , we wouldnt make this Trade if FLA standing in the NHL depended on it .given how empty their arena is similar to 2014 they need a big change to keep a float as mos of their profit comes from away teams fans paying to see games there as locals have no interest in Tallon who had a great thing then stepped down appointing a moron to destroy all progress made . (if there was even a single other GM dumb enough to take the job Tallon would be gone after the Gerard Gallant debacle that turned their club from a team with a winning future to losers lead by a handful of legit professional behind the scene's )

this is just a post where a fan went '' what team is basically ready to fall apart at the seems and has LD available ''

IMO MTL couldnt be paid to skate any of FLA's LD they all play a style that wont fit our system and will F us like Alzner did.

as dumb as i think MB is ,he's not Tallon dumb
