It would cost the Oilers a 1st round pick to give away Lucic's contract without salary retention. So you're essentially suggesting Muzzin for Bear, which is ridiculous. For comparison's sake, it would be like the Kings offering Daniel Brickley, Dion Phaneuf, and a lottery protected 1st for Klefbom. Would you go for that?

A team like Montreal that sorely needs a 1LW to play next to Weber would give up a 1st round pick and a prospect for Muzzin without having to take back a terrible contract.

Change Bear to Bouchard and retain 25% of Lucic's salary and maybe the Kings would go for it. Otherwise, Blake laughs and hangs up the phone.
