Fair deal for LA. they get younger and get much needed cap space and Oilers get top-6 shooter. And if anybody says that there needs to be higher pick, no there doesnt.. its fair.

The Nashville trade.. Nashville doesnt do that. They dont need Nurse and they need Saros as their next starter after Rinne. But Fiala might be good target for Oilers. Im assuming similar forward back would be fair deal.

Nashville may not need nurse but getting wells is a replacement for saros and the future of Nashville goalie cause Rinne still has it and saros wants to start sooner than 3 years. Ottawa with no firsts says yes even with lucic. They have tons of cap space and will.lose duchene for nothing so 2 1sts is good for them and Oilers lock up scoring depth. LA works well as well

And here you are, adding picks and an RHD to Puljujarvi to try to get Toffoli. And who knows if it would even work?

Benning is a throw in to shed some cap. He’s garbage. I can trade him to Washington for a 7th if you want.

We say no to Puljujarvi for Burakovsky because Burskovsky is not good. He averages 12 goals a year as a second line winger. No thank you.

Toffoli however is a consistent 20+ goal scorer. Any LA fans saying they would trade him for Burakovsky are dumb.

Benning is not garbage to LA, especially if they start moving out vets. In Washington he'd be just as much of a spare part as in Edmonton, the way that Hobbs, Bowey, and even Lewington are playing. All three teams are up against the cap, so by all means, he goes to LA for whatever helps Edmonton make the playoffs.

Since summer '14, Burakovsky has 2.09 p/60. Toffoli has 2.17. You factor in linemates, and they're at least evenly skilled. Toffoli's used to bigger minutes, and both special teams, but he's 4 years older with 50% more cap hit and expires as a UFA. So value is relative to team need. And I think right now a Puljujarvi for Burakovsky trade would have to include Khaira (because, again, team need), but I'd definitely trade Burakovsky+ for any of Edmonton's big three defensemen, should one fall out of favor before the deadline: Nurse, Klefbom, or Larsson.
