I'd love to see Stone in Montreal, but I can't imagine Ottawa trading Stone to Montreal and certainly not for Petry, a prospect and a non-lottery first-rounder.

I'm a Murray fan, so I like the trade. That said, I'd think Columbus might be more interested in Petry than a prospect like Fleury. And, I wouldn't be surprised of Ottawa preferred Fleury, since he's cheap and can grow with the new core.

Why trade for Stone....just sign him as UFA and keep Petry and the pick. Anyway Stone doesn't sign that contract....he would certainly want to look at his options in June before signing with any team
