Description

Rental Nyquist traded for a RH RW which is a definite organizational need in Detroit.

Daley is a solid bottom 4 D that is cheap next year with the retention for Toronto which could be good if they move on from Gardiner. Jensen adds very cap-friendly RD depth for the playoffs. Liljegren to Detroit adds defensive depth to an aging blue-line. Should be able to step in when Green is gone to add to Lindstrom and Hronek on the right side. Though this might add an expansion draft concern on D, not sure if Lindstrom is expansion draft eligible or not off the top of my head.

I'd have to imagine Rosen, maybe Borgman and Sandin are all ahead of Liljegren on the depth chart right now.

Rosen might be closer to being NHL ready being that he's 24. At 19 and 18 respectively, Liljegren and Sandin still viewed as significantly better prospects. Borgman we don't hear too much about any more. He suffered a concussion but, even before that...looked like a guy who was being surpassed by other d-man in the system.
