Additional Details:

Philly gets some stability in goal for one more year and a defenseman and forward who at the least will be a great/good tradeable asset at the 2020 TDL. In exchange, they give up two guys on expiring contracts, a topish prospect, and a couple of decent draft picks.

Their biggest hold up is what they think about Rubtsov's potential and what they think all three acquiring assets will be worth next year.

Their biggest holdup is if gambling on Heed/Ryan to fill in Braun's spot. Even if Bibeau is not up to the task of backup in 2020, they have other options.

This is fine value wise, Sharks don't make this trade. Raffl is barely and upgrade on Karlsson, Elliot is injured and a downgrade on Dell, and while Rubtsov is nice, Braun has much more value to a contending team. If there are cap issues in 2020 the Sharks will deal with it then. Losing Braun makes them less competitive in 2019.

If I am Philly, I probably like Dell as a stopgap for Hart. But Braun and Karlsson are just players who are going to be traded in 2020. How are they going to play knowing they have no future in Philly?

You’ve got the Teams involved correct and one of the players (Braun) or (Melker Karlsson) but if they do make a deal Wayne Simmonds will be involved. Sharks don’t want an aging Brian Elliot.. Dell is a solid younger backup! If a deal is made it’ll involve a draft pick and maybe a prospect as well. Only player they are interested in is someone who would make a difference come playoff time and Simmonds is that guy!
