So Nylander Brown Zaitsev and Hutch for Barrie, Grubi, a 1st and 3rd.

Yeah no...Barrie for Nylander straight up makes a lot of sense for both teams. I like Brown but even Zaitsev at 40% retained....Moving Grubi a 1st and a3rd for that. That is a bad trade for the Avs

Nylander for Barrie would at least start talks, I think more would have to be added to both sides for it to go through. But moving Zaitsev and Brown plus picks for Grubauer is not only terrible for Colorado, it's bad for Toronto too. They can use those picks to get another dman which is more helpful, Brown is really going to be needed as a third line inexpensive option when all the other big contracts come up, and Toronto has no need to Grubauer. They're not gonna pay a backup $3M when they have Freddy for 3 more years and with their cap situation coming up

I really do think Barrie for Nylander makes a lot of sense for both teams, they get what they want and dont have to cover complicate things. They both feel an immediate and long term need.
