Hawks going for Hoffman

Created by: ChiHawks34

Initial Creation Date: Dec. 12, 2017
Published: Dec. 12, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
He is signed for 3 more years including this year, and may not take a lot to get him either. He would look really good with Kane and Anisimov on the second line.
Trades
1.
CHI
  1. 2018 2nd round pick (PIT)
  2. 2019 5th round pick (PIT)
2.
CHI
  1. Hoffman, Mike
Additional Details:
Not the best LW they could get, but he would have a very solid contract which Bowman would like. He also would look really good with Kane.
OTT
  1. Fortin, Alexandre
  2. Kero, Tanner
  3. Pokka, Ville
  4. 2018 2nd round pick (PIT)
  5. 2019 1st round pick (CHI)
Additional Details:
3 good prospects, a 1st and a 2nd. Would be a good move for the rebuild they are about to start.

I think the Ottawa trade is fair. I don't think Pittsburgh needs a winger. But back to the Ottawa deal, I like that trade, here's my only concern with it. The past few seasons, all the LW's on Kanes line have been? Right handed. He loves that one timer option whether it was Panarin the last two or Schmaltz this year. To be honest, I think DeBrincat and Kane would go really good together. Move Saad to RW and move Hoffman to LW1. I'll make a post of what i think. This isn't bad at all though, like I said, the only thing is the handedness.

I wouldn't consider Pokka or Kero "good" prospects. Pokka is 23, is in his 4th pro season in NA, has never seen NHL ice, and got his first callup ever this week. Kero is 25 and has reached his full potential as a 4th liner.

That's not much of a haul for a "rebuild"
