Also @HoffmanisKing does a 3rd and a 4th look like enough for Claesson if we can get it? The Islanders are interested in Claesson though i'm not sure how much they're willing to give up.

Yeah a 4th and a 5th isn’t enough a 3rd and 5th is good even better if one of them is 2018.

I think that’s his value is not very high bc he barely gets played but he could definitely be a top 4 D so I would probably just say don’t move him. If we can get some picks for Smith then that’s good.

Well i think we agreed to start shopping Claesson, we don't need to though but we should definitely make him available at least IMO. What's your opinion on Chase Lang and Adam Gilmour? MIN is offering a 4th, a 5th, Gilmour, and Lang i believe for Smith, and we don't have too many contracts, it would only add 1 extra so we're fine there, but the question is, do we get enough value for Smith?

I mean those guys are just AHL players and probably wont be anything more ever so they dont have any value really, and a 4th and a 5th is probably not enough cuz Smith is a solid depth winger, that can play up and down the roster, play in almost any situation, great penalty killer, and really good in the faceoff circle.

They don't want to do the deal with Svetlakov but they said if they can't get a better forward then they're interested in the other deal (Smith and a 6th for a 3rd and a 5th)

well we're getting cap space too, but mainly, we're getting a few picks for a guy who isn't really a huge part of our future. I'll wait and see what they say and then we can think about it.
