Too much quantity, not enough quality. If OTT moves EK, they won't want guys like Stone and Brodie back. Guys like Tkachuk, Valimaki and draft picks are what they'll want. Since those guys are cheap and EK is expensive, they'll let you throw guys like Brouwer and Stajan to compensate a little. Maybe even retain if necessary.

Ottawa could get waaay better. Trading for Karlsson would kill any team because he's worth so much.Right now, since it's early, it would cost 2x1rst, Gaudreau, Valimaki and more!
That's why you wouldn't trade for him... too expensive. It's like trading for Crosby.... not a good idea...
