    I'd be totally shocked if the NYI got a sign and trade Oliver Ekman-Larsson without Barzal being included in the deal.

    I think Barzal is untouchable in almost any deal. But that package isn't exactly "light" either. I'd say AZ makes out pretty well all things considered.

    Just throwing the idea out there, but how would people think of a straight up trade of Barzal for OEL?

    I wouldn't trade Barzal for anyone not named McDavid or Matthews right now. Kid is legit, I'm comfortable saying he'll have a better career than Eichel right now. (But I am also an Islander fan and some of that could be homerism)
