Big no for the Isles. Isles hate Griffin and love Pulock.

Bringing in bandaid if De Haan is out for season
I'd rather they gave Aho or Towes a shot before making a move. Both of them are playing very well in the AHL.

Just think it would be great to have him with Tavares</div></div>
The Lee-Tavares-Bailey line is one of the top scoring lines in the league, and the Ladd-Barzal-Eberle is also performing at a high level. Isles need a 3C so they can move Nelson back to the wing, a top 4 D, and a goalie who doesn't let in 2 softies a game.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div>Ummm I 100% disagree. They want High Cap hit, Low Salary, & Quality players. Weber costs $6M next year...these players are $6M & MOST IMPORTANTLY...none of the are actually playing NHL hockey right now. Hammer due to injury, but so is Weber. Maybe Weber doesn't want to get there. That's a fair point.</div></div>
They don't want a high cap hit for the next 8 years at almost $8mill per year because he'll be taking up cap space when its time to pay up the young guys

I'd think it was take a better player/prospect than Beau to get that return from ARZ,

Your thoughts
Josh Bailey and Anders Lee will each cost about double what you have there. Lee is a proven 30+ goal scorer and is on pace for 50 right now, and Bailey is on pace to put up over 90pts. CDH will not sign for that little, Thomas Hickey isn't worth $3.5 and Ryan Pulock get more.

Why would you want to break up one of the top lines in the league, and bring back Ryan Strome (who is having another down year)?

agreed, I'd replace the 3rd with the other 2018 first rounder, add Keiffer Bellows because at this point nobody is that high on MDC, and Linus Sooderstrom or Sorkin's rights.

Isles have won Belmont bid, to be announced Wednesday
Multiple NY sources have reported that the New York Islanders winning the Belmont land will be announced Wednesday. The feeling as been the major factor contributing to JT's hesitancy to sign an extension was the teams uncertain future.

Karlsson in FA (2020)
too much for Karlsson, and too little for Bailey and Lee. The latter two could demand north of $7mill as UFAs on the open market if Lee ends around 40 goals each for the next two years and Bailey his over a point per game pace he is on this season.

I wouldn't trade Barzal for anyone not named McDavid or Matthews right now. Kid is legit, I'm comfortable saying he'll have a better career than Eichel right now. (But I am also an Islander fan and some of that could be homerism)

Even though NK has a awful contract he is still one of the Isles more used forwards, mostly for his D ability. They'd buy him out before trading a prospect with a top 2D potential</i></div></div>
Who are they protecting on D then? If they feel that good about Pulock they better be ready to lose someone else............ Leddy, Boychuck, Hamonic, Pulock. Then they are losing someone good at forward if that's the case. Just sayin...</i></div></div>
They'll protect Led, Pulock, JB, Hammer, probably leave CDH and Hick unprotected if they don't make a trade. Forwards they'll leave the bad contracts, that they can, unprotected and protect JT, Ladd, Brock, Strome.

No chance Isles would want Jimmy Howard. They have the rights to best KHL goalie and they'd give JFB a go before signing another expensive aging goalie
