This is ONLY from the Hockey News Article--their hypothetical..(reasonable or not) so dont try me..or Ill make ya look foolish..lol..enjoy how it looks wings fans..does kenny try for it? maybe..itll be interesing for sure
ARTICLE Posted TBL LIGHTNING SIGN & TRADE to DET Because they cant agree to resign him so hes traded to DET for 8 yr deal (that only TBL could offer--CBA LOOPHOLE) rather 7 yr deal that other teams can only offer.. for $10.5 AAV/Per
I think 2 First RD is too much,ID TRY to offer a 1st rd..then a 2nd Rd..they might bite for that..or conditional 2 nd ..that COULD BECOME 1st rd pick in 2017
As a NHL GM, well ArmchairGM, wondering where Detroit is going to get cap room next year. Another 3m for Stamkso, another 2.5m for Abdelkaker. When Kenny calls me, I'll let you know.
Nice post Mike.
Hockey News isn't known to be much of a reliable source... Either way, I don't see any trade for Stamkos to Detroit happening without TB getting Larkin in return.
hockey news didnt say it was going to happen, just a possibility..it was a "bold prediction" by one of their writers thats all..but its interesting one to say the least..and hockey news is a great source : P ...tbl wouldnt get larkin, theyd be getting what was posted..
Palhal-- Redwings have cap room to make it happen if they so chose to do so,they could trade to clear some space for one..secondly, couple UFA's would make up the difference rather easy, like richards leaving,quincey,andersson/cleary gone..helm and miller might be gone too--clearing about $13M total if all leave (mrazek /dekeyser/pulkkinen raises prob eats half that amount--leaving about 6-7M freed up) and plus after NEXT yr ..Datsyuk 7.5M comes off books too..and even if he stays in DET it wont be near that amount ..so theres plenty of room for kenny holland to pull it off..Never doubt that man trust me..
