Not bad, though Thomas and Jake Evans won't be ready to contribute next year. It's possible Poehling might, but probably not either. But even so, with $8M of cap space, why not go get Neal or Josh Bailey to firm up the wings?

patches might get more. is blais really considered an nhler. is lhd really a needed to sign dehaan. even if can't sign a long term. centre winger, that cap space can be for some help

Patch will stay at that price... He doesn't HAVE to go by this TDL. No thanks.

I like the deal, but I don't think the Habs need to throw in the draft pick. If they need to make the trade a little juicier, they could offer to cover 1/2 of his salary since they have the cap space to do it.

I like the idea of having Thomas 18, Evans 21, Poehling 19, Danault 24, McCarron 22 as center options in the near future.
