Why would CBJ need Lehner?

And why would anyone that other douche in their locker room?

Good move for Buffalo. Beyond terrible for BJs

I think Kane gets a bad rap, but he'll outscore Jenner by a large margin. Lehner is also better than Korpisalo right now. This isn't terrible by CBJ at all if they think they are there. You have to incorporate the fact that Kane is only a dink because he's a quitter, but theres no chance of him quitting in a contract year.

Lehner only brings value if Bob gets hurt, otherwise he only plays maybe 8-10 games the rest of the way and none in the plsyoffs. Kane is a clubhouse cancer. I wouldn’t take him for free unless i had a buyer for him lined up. I don’t think this brings them a cup this year and has no value beyond this season. Giving up Jenner and 1st for that makes it bad for them in my opinion.. THey could trade Lehner’s rights in the offseason but it wouldn’t recoup enough to make up for their loss. I understand your thinking, and i overexaggerated but i still don’t like it for BJ’s.

I think you just don't like Kane. Personal distaste. I think you overrate Jenner as well, he's been **** compared to his 30 goal season. I like Lehner as an upgrade in net helping them solidify a playoff spot. I think Kane busts his ass because you'll atleast know this about Kane.... the guy is kind of a dink of a person, so why wouldn't he be greedy enough to bust his ass to put up points for a better paying contract? I'm not suggesting CBJ sign him, but they could use his greed filled heroism to their advantage and then just let him walk for the price of a very late 1st and Jenner who's regressed lately.

Well they have the space for a 4m backup but wouldn’t that be better suited for someone who actually plsys? And yes, i have no respeçt for Kane. But i ask you, do you think this move makes them a legit cup contender this year? If so ok go for it. If not.....i guess you could say that about any of these type of deals really. It does make them better for half a season....no question. Steep price if they are first round casualty or worse miss the plaoffs after the licker room is torn apart.

I think they are a contender with a PPG LW on the 2nd line behind Panarin. With Jones / Werenski and Bob in net, anything is possible for this team at this point. Lehner > Korpisalo Kane > Jenner so much so that they pay the 28th or so pick for that upgrade.... it's a solid deal all around, but their GM might say no and build for the future which I wouldn't be critical of. I just think they've got Jones Werenski and Johnson Savard and Murray Nutivaara, but they need more goals. Jenner **** the bed this year, but Kane is thriving. If they squeezed out more goals then YES, they are a cup contender.
