I'd probably only do one or the other, I like the thought of adding to R shots, but I think Lazar is finally getting some footing in the league and looks like he may turn that corner. Ultimately with his motor constantly going and the fact he is starting to make plays, rather than just making the simple play, so he doesn't get sat.

Personally rather see us spend that asset to upgrade bartkowski with a more consistent d that can play in place for Kulak, as if we have an injury to our L side we could be in trouble especially if Tspoon is moved on. I still would like to add Jake McCabe as I think he makes stone expendable and adds a physical element we could use on that L side.

If the Flames make the playoffs they will most likely play the Sharks or my Kings. Both teams have a ton of playoff experience. I think the Flames need to add some playoff experience and it was well known Sharp almost signed on July 1 with the Flames, I wonder if the interest still exists.

Given the choice between Sharp or Sceviour I take the latter as he is younger and produces more than Stajan. While Stajan is a good PK guy, a little more 4th line production will go a long way.

Regarding depth on the left side, the Flames still have Kylington who may not be as well developed as Wotherspoon, but has a higher upside. Also by playoff time Tri-City should be eliminated and Valimaki could in theory be called up.

Is that seriously all that Sharp is getting paid? My goodness, would be awesome to have him for the playoffs, or depth in case of an injury.

Totally agree with your point in the playoff experience, would be good to add that piece, but with our current roster we have seen the playoffs a bit, smith is a great guy addition with his role with Az going to conf finals, browuwer, frolik, versteeg all will be in come playoff time. I think Sceviour would be a good fit as we have discussed....

In regards to Valimaki, love the idea, but I don't think he is ready for that personally and might not be best for his development curve...Bennett/baertschi.... f Kylington has to play that's not a problem, but if we move on Tspoon, I just feel we could use a physical 7 guy in the event we lose stone/harmonic as well. Andersson and Kylington aren't bringing that element and as you said we have to deal with California, they all are big and heavy teams thus the need for an addition physical presence to break up the cycle... we all the know the playoffs is a big boy game...

Ideally you'd like to have a glut of solid D going into the playoffs for a big run cause you'll probably need them all.... Gio, Hamilton, brodie, harmonic, stone, Kulak, bartkowski, Andersson, Kylington,Prout... decent depth, but R shot heavy.... (assuming we part with wotherspoon).... Bart is scary in his own end I would avoid playing him as much as possible lol, he is a rim specialist

Would only do the sharp deal if Versteeg doesn't return before the playoffs

I agree. Ideally I'd put Sharp in the 3RW spot and move Hathaway to the fourth line. I think it would increase the potential for offensive productivity on that line.
