Almost a $2 million pay cut. Would take close to this to get him to sign. Only for 2 years

Why would the Leafs want to sign him.? Time to move on and get Johnson and Kapanen instead of declining old veteran. Cap space is very important, and why is Nash even worth 4m now?

I don't disagree, but Mike Babcock is the coach. It's great to have the young, skilled depth guys, but Babcock won't play them

I don't see Carlson signing for $6M as a UFA. He's second in D scoring this year and 5th in TOI. He'll be looking for 7.5-8 probably.

i cant see them spending 12 mill on to ufa's when in a year you'll have to sign Matthews and Marner.

Rick Nash has already stated no desire to play in Canada, All Canadian teams are on his NMC and Carlson is asking for at least 7 years $49 million you're way under.
