COL and OTT r overpaying

I can't see the Avs trading a high value dman (better than Sekera) and being expected to absorb Lucic's negative value contract at the same time before ever considering the 2nd round pick.

I actually think the Sens do well in the RNH trade. Can't see the Oilers moving him now. You are a better team shifting Drai to the wing and using RNH on the 2nd line than losing RNH and having Hoffman on the wing.

trading nuge and not replacing him with a competent, affordable 3C is downright insane

i dont think Barrie is going to be on the move seeing colorados success, especially not for sekera and lucic (maybe try going after a guy like Demers whos cheaper and AZ wants to move)


trade maroon at the deadline for a 2nd and a B+ prospect or a 1st rounder and youre set

The value may not be horrible for either of those deals but I can't see either of Colorado or Ottawa having a reason for making those trades.

Ott needs another centre capable of scoring . I believe that Barrie has been hurt while Col has been on a winning streak and I read somewhere that they are deep at right defence. Getting Sekera will help solidify the left side.
