Description
The rumor I heard was St Louis offered two firsts and Allen. Mtl countered with two firsts, Robert Thomas, and Hutton. I know about the blues prospects somewhat but not as much as an actual blues fan would probably know so instead of Thomas maybe they offer Kostin? Also, that 10.5 million dollar cap hit is kind of rough but do you guys think he's worth it?

I think Price would fit in well in STL. MTL has a great prospect in Lindgren and really need to improve prospect depth. Acquiring Allen would help Lindgren develop. STL is trying to win now and their goaltending has always struggled in the postseason. Price makes STL a very well rounded team.

Blues would probably not offer Thomas as he's one of two natural centers the Blues have that are young guys who can potentially play top 6(Barbashev being the other). I think they'd offer up Barbashev over Kostin or Thomas simply because Montreal needs a center.

Also, Blues don't have a 2018 1st. Philly has that unless the Blues are in the draft lottery. Then Philly gets the 2019 1st.

Plus, MTL wouldn't want Hutton, they'd want Allen since he's younger and has term. So I don't think that rumor is true. See my post yesterday about how the Blues get Price and MTL gets a center in the process
