Avs are having a good season and it's definitely a good thing that they're in the playoff hunt. However, They should still be building for next season and the season after that, and giving up two young players probably isn't in their best interests. Even though he's got a good contract and is definitely a solid player, Galchenyuk isn't enough to justify getting rid of these guys, at least not yet; a year from now the avs should have a clearer picture of what they have in these guys (especially Kamenev) and whether or not they're more valuable in the lineup or as trade bait

I agree with the sentiment, but it's not like this is a rental the Avs are snagging. Galchenyuk is a 23 year old RFA protected forward who already has a 30 goal season under his belt. If this deal were on the table COL should take it immediately, hang up the phone, and run as far away as they can so that Bergevin couldn't undo it somehow.
