The value might be a bit off on the paccioretty trade, but Tavares, Thomas, Danault down the middle is pretty dirty. This team is a contender.

What do think value be then?

I'm a Blues fan who loves Thomas, but I think you could get more for Paccioretty and the Blues would need to shed salary. Maybe like Thomas + second rounder + Tanner Kaspick (Mid-tier Prospect) + Gunnarson and then retain 2 mil on Patches contract.

I would all that beside Gunnarson and 500k off Patches Contract

the shaw trade makes us a worse team overall

we gave up two 2nds for him to come to MTL have a career year then take less then we paid on a 26 year old 2 time stanley cup winner?
why dont we just trade pacioretty for sam bennett while we are at it .

move Byron not shaw he's 28 and the highest his value as a speedy player will ever be is in the next 4 years .
lets do withim like Weise and bring in youth and picks (Danault and a 2nd for Weise )

Reason why i would trade Shaw its because he plays same way Gally takes to much cap room + Byron is more has a threat then shaw and ill trade Bryon this tradeline if doesn't want to resign then ill trade him too

he is our ONLY Right Handed Faceoff player not to mention our best Faceoff player at 55-57%
on a team with 10 wingers and 2 centers of which only Gallagher and Shaw are Right handed
getting rid of shaw makes as much sense as moving out Petry who is 1/2 Right Handed shots on D who`s behind Chucky in Power Play Production .

your making it so we are losing half the ice`s passing lanes by proxy making us a worse team all around .


shaws skill set is why he`s worth slightly more then gally because he`s a winger who learned to be the best at Faceoffs
its why CHI literally hasnt been a Contender or even a threat since losing Shaw bringing in whatever former cup players they can trying to fix it
but without Shaw they are barely a playoff team these days

people under cut shaw to much not realizing he turned Danult a winger into a Center playing along side him in CHI and MTL until he was capable of 1000 + draws at over 50%
you are literally throwing away our only leader who makes Centers (not just guides former centers but turns wingers like Danault who ive watched since Junior and wast never a center .)

losing Shaw hurts us more directly then losing Eller (which when we lost Eller aka Chucky`s mentor you literally seen Chucky`s numbers go negative.)


Byron needs to go for the same reason Weise did
without moving Weise then Byron doesnt step up , we dont get Danault or the 2nd pick

WHAT DONT YOU GET WHO CARES ABOUT THE RIGHT HAND FACEOFF GO TRY MAKE A TEAM WITH HIS SALARY HIS OVERPAID HAS A PLAYER WE CANT BE GOOD IF HIS ON THE TEAM.
