All pointless trades that don't really do anything but stock pile on the cap. This is poor. Caps dont need to do anything. They are playing great and have jelled well with each other.

capitals d is average at best you clearly dont watch any of their games......hammer is a huge upgrade to orpik and also helps release cap not stack......

Anisimov will replace eller next season ...hes also an upgrade to bura

im confused at the fact you cant see how this makes the team better and the cap space they save......but like i said i assume you dont watch any of their games bc nothing you said made sense

I don't think this is awful as Hazard seems to think...but...

1) I would do the Grubi trade, Orpik salary dump, prospect and two non 1st round picks trade in a heartbeat. Hjalmmer is an upgrade and Raanta would be a stop-gap backup if needed. The Caps needs to get value for Grubi soon. And they need an upgrade on defense, this weekend's games highlighted (again) how weak they really are...

2) I think they need to tinker "some" because they're one of the better worse teams in the league...they're not consistent and they have assets they need to do things with...hard to explain but they're underachieving in my mind.

3) Barberio plays the left side...should no get him AND Hjalmmer. choose one or the other...

4) You have zero need for Cammalleri...DSP or Nate Walker can do that job.

i picked up Cammalleri bc hes known for scoring clutch goals something the caps have been missing the last few years.....and i looked up the ave starting line up and Barberio is a lh shot that plays right side

I'd rather pay more and get Alec Martinez on the right side and then trade Carlson's rights over the summer and go Nisky, Martinez, and Bowey or Hoobs as young developing 3RHD.

As a Hawks fan, Anisimov for Burakovsky is interesting, because of his youth, lesser cap hit and the 3rd you threw in. I like that.

I watch games from time to time, and they are an excellent team, with some what depth. Heres the thing, you're doing what past GM's have done, and thats stock pilling rentals/cap space for another 1 time run. Caps don't need that. They have alot going right for them so far, and dont need to be a juggernaut again.

What I'm trying to say is, instead of bringing in under achievers, let the group play as they are and dont mess with chemistry. Theyve been messing with it for years and its gotten them no where. The ARI one is okay, pray for ARI to accept, but the other ones are pretty much useless as I said. If you really dont want Bura, include him in the ARI trade and get Domi as well. Thats about it
