Description
In a recent article on a Rangers website, the value of McDonagh was discussed. They compared it to the Yandle sign and trade deal. The article valued Ryan at a 1st round pick, a top prospect, a young roster player, another high draft pick.

What are your thoughts on the article's value and the following trade?

Sergachev

If that's the only person who completes the deal then no. I'd rather have Serg through his 20's than 2 years of Ryan.

The standard template for a player of ilk and term/cap would be:

1 young roster player - Somebody that can step in immediately to the lineup even if they aren't established yet. (Koekkoek/Dotchin/Peca for example)
1 top prospect - Former 1st rounder whose probably still in juniors and 18-20ish. (Howden or Foote for example)
1 first rounder 2018-2019
1 second rounder 2018-2019

Something along those lines.

Going straight for an elite prospect like Sergachev isn't realistic.
