Can't imagine EDM says yes but you never know.

Also Toronto adds. Make the 2nd a 1st and swap Leivo for Kapanen. Leafs fans on here will tell you Liljegren has equal value to Sergachev or Heiskanen which is laughable.

lol not getting Liljegren in that deal.

Rangers fans are so funny, at the same time imagine if the Oilers gave you McDavid and 7 1st round picks for Staal. Like OMG lol

Liljegren looked good in the world juniors but he's 18 and he's no Dahlin he has several years of development before he joins an nhl squad although I do think he projects to be a top 2 d man its just going to take longer with that player

Look Liljegren isn't joining the leafs any time soon, they are good now. Moving him so that their team can win now isn't unthinkable. Also I'm not a rangers fan lol.

hard to imagine McDonagh being a what the leafs need. Big cap hit and might not even be a top 4 on the Leafs D. Lilegren is a lot closer then other teams fans give him respect for. He was a lock top the top 5 last season until he missed the majority draft year season with Mono. He will make his debut sometime next season without a doubt. No need to pay that much for the Rangers trash.

Would not give more then a Levio and a 2nd for McDonagh

Lilly is only 18 he wasn't even a standout with his age group at the world juniors he's not yet built for the nhl, he has limited experience on the north American rink your crazy if you think he makes the team out of training camp next year. You obviously are crazy because there is no way McDonaugh would be beaten out of the top 4 by gardner or zaitzev hes way better than both of them. and his contract is actually pretty modest for a player of his skill he's a top 2 defensemen in my eyes.

Staal is still a very valuable player that needs a shake up, Look how his brother turned his game around in a new situation.

Sure he can keep it together for a while, but he's hurt again! He's an injury or two away from being done. THEN we could trade him, a la Clowe, lol. Even at 1/2 cap...3 more years, never.

well then you just wouldn't have yourself a top flight dman - he is FAR better than reilly/ gardiner/ and anyone else they have on that blue line right now...the trade may be an overpay- and the leafs may not want to part w/ liljegren but doesn't mean mcD sucks...

lol there is no world that McD is better then Reilly. Still hold my ground that he is a 4-6 Dman with the Leafs. Good Vet leadership but just because you have the C doesn't make you worth more.

You obviously don't know much, I can't believe there are even rumors of McD being moved. Any team would be lucky to have him a top 2 d man usually costs between 7 and 9 million and your getting McD for less than 5 for 2 years, he's a steal.
