NYR have plenty of goaltending prospects so definitely say no to this trade.

Even if the Rangers don’t need more goalies they’d take this in a heartbeat, too much of an overpay

It is too much only if they win the CUP which, trust me not a single Jets fan will be crying about the 2nd 1st round pick if they win the CUP. It also doesn't touch the current roster and Kristian Vesalainen, and gives them a solid 2 year window. Two chances to win a CUP without touching your roster, as much as it is an overpayment it's what it would take to do that!
