Not a chance we get a 2nd for Leivo! A fourth straight up, maybe, or use him in a package. He has limited and unknown value.

Ok a 4th. Not really an important part of the roster I created. Just want to show how the team will be able to resign their RFA’s and add to the team next year and for 2019-2020. Check out my roster for the next year and please comment.

Why would jumbo Joe get 10 mil? I know it is only for one year , but don’t you think that is a huge overpayment at this stage of his career?

Probably. He got $9m this year and I was surprised but what I’ve come to understand is that for cap teams like the Leafs, term is more important than salary. If they have the cap space for Jumbo for one year and he helps them win a cup, it is worth the investment. Kinda like the scenario thrown around for Tavares where they could pay him $15M on a one year deal next year to go all in for a cup. Can’t see that happening though since he’s in his prime earning years and he could get injured whereas Jumbo is near the end of his career.
