Based on scout attendance deals w/ Det and MTL

Created by: Jacketsman61
Team: 2017-18 Columbus Blue Jackets
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 12, 2018
Published: Feb. 12, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Galchenyuk is likely on the move. Canadians need to get some influx of young controllable talent. This helps them. Detroit needs to start rebuilding their blue line. Green will be gone at the TDL so it makes sense for them to make a move to acquire a young defenseman who needs a change of scenery.

That's a pretty hefty price to pay for Alex Galchenyuk......might want to seriously downgrade that 2nd round pick, or remove it entirely

I'm pretty sure the Detroit deal does not go through with any pick going to Columbus.

Why would Montreal do this? Galchenyuk has been one of their better players lately and seems to be the only guy who can play with Drouin.

Athanasiou is a good player on a bad team that needs some changes. Detroit is not in position to give up draft picks. Murray has been injury prone and that has to affect the value to some extent. Deal seems fair.

Canadians are done this year and they need to reshape this team. Galchenyuk has been ok lately but the Habs need more talent. Jenner can play center and helps addresses the Habs need for that position. Milano needs a change of scenery. Milano is talented but is buried with the Jackets. Canadians can give him more playing time.

Galchenyuk is just entering his prime years. No way he gets moved unless a top 4 D or a top 6 C is in the deal. If Milano can't get playing time in Columbus good luck getting time under Julien. He will play 5 mins a night. While Jenner is decent I don't see him more then being a 2/3 C at best which we have in Danault.

I agree, Galchenyuk is more valuable then that...
I would ask Jenner, Murray, Milano for Chucky, JDL, Lernout.
CHucky made once 30goals and always 45-50pts.
JDL will secure your 3/4C
Lernout is NHL ready 5-6 young D who can play physical.
Will you do it?

Trading Galchenyuk is not an option IMO. Too many teams undervalue him in trades. (yet still want him enough to trade for him). Habs are better off just keeping him. No one will give the Habs what he's worth and he's been quite good with Drouin that if we do move him, lets wait till next year after a full season next to Drouin.
