Yeah sure, the Habs are so much better without him right now. Maybe he wasn't the cancer in that team after all. Anyhow, this post was only made for another forum. Some people were arguing you couldn't fit Subban, Tavares and Radulov on the same team without taking consideration of the salary cap

even if you remove tavares from that team... it is still MILESSSSSS better than the current habs.

they would still need a top-6C other than Byron ;P
Without Tavares, you could probably fit in Drouin and a cheaper center like Backlund. So let's say

Pacioretty - Galchenyuk - Radulov (that hot line last season)
Drouin - Backlund - Gallagher
Lehkonen - Danault - Hudon
Byron - Froese - Deslauriers
fit in Scherbak on top-9 when someone is injured or trade him away with someone else for an upgrade on top-6

I could see stasney signing there as well. honestly... the big thing for the habs was still the subban trade. you dont trade an elite D of that calibre for a declining one with a bad contract. although keeping radulov would've been very good for habs top 6.

habs this offseason lost the offence of radulov and then added Drouin... so essentially it was a wash. would've been better to keep sergachev AND resign radulov. alzner was a bad signing for more reasons than needs explaining, and the way the habs management disrespected Markov was disgusting. this was a player that took pay cuts his entire career to stay in Montreal (he could've made more on an open market) he was a pivotal of their D core for a decade. Markov WANTED to stay but there was practically no negotiation between the two parties.
