Welcome back! I did read this on proposal on HF earlier ... I don’t know what Gionta does for us. I think Pouliot(BUF) for our 2019 3rd is fair.

I tried to play with E. Kane but I don't want him. Could be a bigger problem in the locker room and mess with chemistry.

Gionta is another guy for us to rally around and depending on how the Olympics go he should be ready to play. AND skate since they are on olympic ice and I doubt he has lost his scoring touch. I could see him as a guy you could move up and down the lineup. I suspect Gionta is going to want to win a cup over setting himself up for a deal next year.... If he wins a cup, a contract offer will follow. Also strong playoff stats.

Pouliot would be an interesting add. I don't see him starting though, not even over Sheary. He had one good playoffs- with NYR. Others he didn't do anything.

Pouliot would mainly be an upgrade over Kuhnhackl if Grabner/Kane don't work.
