Domi is proven 3 years experience and is a center. Needs a change of scenery but he will at least be a middle 6 center. Still a 40 point player now over 82 games. There is no organizational center depth at the moment. Domi eases that. I think Domi will be a late bloomer and has been playing for the Browns of the NHL.... He is also playing with Zac Rinaldo...

Isles could get more in a sign and trade for JT. Wouldn't trade him in the division for just about anyone, it'd have to be a ridiculous haul. JHS trade looks fine to me

I know JT has said he would like to stay. Truth is he is a UFA. Sign and trade only works if JT wants to go there, including Carolina. Maybe he wants to stay in NYI. But the situation is a bit of a mess. They got a top pair defenseman for very favorable term. Hall for Larson was straight up. JT>> Hall but you are also getting a pick and a solid center for this year that can then be flipped or used to keep the team competitive. You can probably get a 2nd or 3rd for Ryan at the TDL if you want to throw in the towel this year.

This doesn't make sense. The advantage to a player to sign and trade, is he can only be offered an eight year contract be his "rights holder". And then you offered just a 7 year deal and a 10m deal that Tavares could get in many other places. There is no way Tavares signs that contract before July 1, and likely after. And Slavin is just frittered away.
