1. I hate the Canadiens.
2. Over the last 3 seasons Giroux has about 20 more points than Pacioretty, and 30 fewer goals. For half the cap hit. The deal doesn’t result in Philly getting the better player, but the $4mil in cap can get them a much better defense.

And Giroux has 32 more points than him just this season. Giroux is one of the only reasons that the Flyers are even in a playoff spot. The Flyers also have absolutely no worries with the cap right now or in the near future.

The Flyers should not be re-signing Manning and Filppula they both suck. Carlson is the only one of those d-men I'd have interest in. The Flyers would be much better letting young guys play on D than signing Green and Cole. Also Kane is a head case, don't want him anywhere near the Flyers.
